GOOD OR BAD MOVE? Arsenal Started Negotiations With Brazil International

Arsenal has renewed their interest in football player Arthur Melo and has started bargaining with Juventus once more. After failing to sign the player in the winter, the 25-year-old midfielder is allegedly free to quit the London giants, and Arsenal may decide to refocus their efforts.

The Spanish manager is juggling the several options in front of him as the Gunners continue their quest for a new midfielder. Mikel Arteta is familiar with the name of the Brazilian international because he expressed interest in signing the midfielder in January.

Juventus wanted to extend Arthur’s contract, but they were unwilling to accept the loan conditions Arsenal had earlier in the winter. Since an agreement couldn’t be made, Melo finished the season at Juventus. The Brazilian midfielder is currently up for sale, and other teams are apparently interested.

Allegri appears to have a wide range of alternatives in the midfield going into the upcoming season after acquiring Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester United. In this window, they seek to sell the Brazilian and his teammate Rabiot. Arsenal has not yet presented Leicester City with a firm bid, despite being connected to Youri Tielemans.

Lucas Paqueta, a playmaker for Lyon, is also a target, although a pursuit may be complicated by his enormous asking price. Hence, the Gunners could have turned their attention to the South American midfielder, considering he could be a cheaper alternative. The fact that Arsenal need a new midfielder is seeing them linked with footballers from many leagues.
