Arsenal receive good news on possibility of signing Youri Tielemans

Arsenal fans have received some good news as their long-term transfer target, Youri Tielemans, is set to leave Leicester City on a free transfer this summer as per The Standard. The Belgian midfielder has been linked with the Gunners for years, and it seems that he may finally be making his way to the Emirates Stadium.

Tielemans had a solid season with Leicester City, scoring three goals and providing two assists. However, despite his efforts, The Foxes were relegated from the Premier League this season. This has opened up an opportunity for Arsenal to swoop in and sign the talented midfielder.

Arsenal were in a fierce title race with Manchester City this season, but ultimately fell short in their bid to win the 2022/23 Premier League title. A defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week saw them lose the trophy to The Citizens. Arsenal ended the season with 84 points while Manchester City finished with 89 points. Manchester City are this year’s Premier League Champions, while the Gunners will have to settle for second place even though they had led the league table for 10 months this season.

The addition of Tielemans could be just what Arsenal need to push them over the edge and help them win their first Premier League title since 2004. The Belgian midfielder is known for his technical ability and creativity on the ball, which could add a new dimension to Arsenal’s midfield.

Tielemans’ ability to score goals from midfield would also be a welcome addition to Arsenal’s squad. With Granit Xhaka likely leaving the club this summer, Tielemans could slot into his position and provide some much-needed firepower from midfield.

Leicester City’s reluctance to sell Tielemans in previous seasons may have been due to his importance to their squad. However, with their relegation from the Premier League, they may not be able to hold onto him any longer.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that the club can secure Tielemans’ signature this summer and that he can help them win their first Premier League title in nearly two decades. With the Belgian midfielder’s talent and potential, he could be the missing piece of the puzzle for Arsenal.
